G2 is a lively group. We enjoy the kinship of our chapter, getting together to share stories, promote safety and of course with riding, comes eating! With the Great Smoky Mountains at our back door, we have many opportunities to ride for a cause plus we support many great charitable organizations. One of our favorites is Ride for Kids, which supports the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.

Throughout each year, the North Carolina Chapters and members hold fundraising events and make personal donations to support 3 State Centers through parades, presence, and donations in a program called Gifts on Cycles. G2 is affiliated with the Gold Wing Road Riders Association, better known as GWRRA, which was founded in 1977. The organization has grown to 80,000 members worldwide. Some say we are the world’s largest family. Becoming a member brings you all kinds of benefits that are unparalleled in the motorcycle industry. One major benefit is the Wing World monthly publication which is packed with information, safety tips and much more. Another benefit is our Gold Book which is so important to every member. If you have the Gold Book, you are never alone on the road.

GWRRA's world class educational program is structured to educate both our motorcycle community and the general driving public. The goal is to make the motorcycle riding environment safer by reducing injuries and fatalities plus increase motorcyclist skills and awareness. Through COMMITMENT, EDUCATION, AND APPLICATION, we can reduce our accident rate significantly! Through the efforts of the Rider Education Officers and volunteers throughout the world, we are already realizing many positive benefits from the GWRRA Rider Education Program.
